About HECA
The mission of the Hillsborough Early Childhood Association is to promote the quality of life, learning, and care of young children.
Our mission is accomplished by:
- Increasing awareness of the needs of young children in Hillsborough County.
- Coordinating the efforts of individuals and groups who provide educational and developmental services to young children.
- Furthering the knowledge and understanding of the development of young children.
- Promoting the professional development of those who work with young children by co-sponsoring early childhood training.
- Advocating for quality health and education standards for young children.
- Hosting an annual networking event for HECA members.
- Sponsoring an annual Teacher Of The Year Awards Ceremony.
- Sponsoring an annual Director Of The Year Awards Ceremony.
